NAC Novel Computer-Based Diagnostic System
North Atlantic Crane offers a novel computer-based system for overhead crane diagnostics of turbine room cranes and polar cranes ¾ the "Incipient Failure Detection System" (IFD) ¾ an early warning crane default detection system that not only provides more detailed and accurate readings, but also enables follow-up comparisons of all crane functions. This state-of-the-art capability scans your crane during all operations to indicate mechanical and electrical problems before they become critical. Computer-based graphic analysis is provided of the auxiliary and main hoists and braking motors; simultaneously, such functions as the amperage of the motor, timing relay response, shorted motor windings, RPMs at all speeds, and braking times in relation to RPMs are all examined. All diagnostic information can be furnished on site by our mobile diagnostic system or in-house, whichever is preferred, thus facilitating immediate corrective action.
