North Atlantic Crane (NAC) is a certified, professionally insured overhead crane inspection service division specializing in utility, fossil fuel, and nuclear applications. Key to this service is pre-outage removal and inspection of the load brakes, performance of required electrical and/or mechanical repair, and provision of detailed reports that are updated regularly and readily available for review (as officially required by OSHA). The cost in downtime, damage to equipment, and potential personal injury when a load brake fails more than justifies the certified, professional inspection of your load brakes and overall performance of your crane. If your electric brake fails, a reliable load brake will make the difference between safety and reliability, and an unnecessary risk that may cost your company tremendous loss in time and money.

After testing, the customer is provided with a Certificate of Inspection along with a detailed Crane Inspection Checklist that can be updated monthly. NAC maintains a database which provides each customer with regular hard-copy up-dates. In addition, diagnostic printouts are provided when NAC’s computer-based diagnostic system, the "Incipient Failure Detection System" (described on the opposite page), is used. After the complete inspection, any necessary electrical or mechanical repair work includes daily Scope of Work Reports that detail in advance every step involved in the repair job. Note that a graphic hard copy of your crane's ongoing functioning is an efficient means of using today's technology for tomorrow's future.
